Mrs. Lizzie Bailey and her daughter, formerly of Boston, Mrs. Nellie Spruce and Mrs. Hilda Williams and son Dwight, all of Silver Spring, Md. were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Weaver. Guests who arrived Saturday to spend the week with Mr. and Mrs. Brew Burke and son Ronnie were Mrs. Burke’s brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Dodson and her sister Mrs. James Hamilton and children Linda and Randy and the Burke’s daughter Miss Peggy Burke, all of Silver Spring. Ricky Carpenter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Carpenter of New Salem is in Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville, where he underwent eye surgery on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and daughter Marie visited Mr. Frazier’s aunt Mrs. Carrie Dodson at Peola Mills on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hawkins and daughters Linda and Sharon have moved into their new home, opposite the Postoffice.
