Carnival Next Week
Chester Gap firemen and area residents are planning and working hard in preparation for the forthcoming annual carnival which will open next week. The three-day event begins Wednesday night, June 30 and continues through Saturday night, July 3. Features of the carnival this year will be a fireworks display on Thursday night, and each night a variety of thrilling rides, games of skill and amusements will be offered. The entertainment will be good clean fun for the whole family.
Available at the food stand will be a selection of good food. Hot dogs and hamburgers never taste better than at a carnival accompanied with hot coffee or cold drinks. The Carnival Queen will be crowned Friday night.
Prizes galore will be offered with awarding of the final grand prizes on Saturday night at the climax of the carnival. Eight hundred dollars in cash prizes is offered.
