The exclusion of family employment from coverage by social security applies in cases where the business is individually owned or is operated as a partnership and the family relationship exists between each of the partners and the employee. Example! A husband and wife are running a business as partners and hire a son or daughter under 21. The child in this case, too, would not be covered by social security. In cases where the business is incorporated, the family employment provisions do not apply for the simple reason that the employer is a corporation; and corporations do not have wives, parents, or children.

Benefit Dinner, Dance
A Dinner and Dance will be given at Pine Knot Inn Friday, June 25 for the benefit of the Rappahannock Rescue Squad. A chicken and pig feet dinner will be served from 5:30 until dancing begins at 9 p.m. Music by Hank Johnson. Dinners 75C in, $1.00 out. Come one, come all, and help the Rescue Squad.

Graduation Party
A graduation party was given to Miss Anna Lewis by her sisters and brothers Saturday, June 19, at the C. C. Lewis residence. There were approximately 45 persons attending the party.
