Mrs. Carrie Best Gay
Mrs. Carrie Best Gay, of 80, of Elkton, died on Tuesday morning in the Luray Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:30 p in. from the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, conducted by Elder A. F. Sudeth. Interment will be in the Luray cemetery.
She was born in Rappahannock County, a daughter ol the late James E. Best and Alice N. Best. Her husband, Edwin Lee Gay. preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gay was a member of the Naked Creek Primalive Baptist Church of Elkton: a member of Warren Rifles Chapter. United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Real Daughters Club of that Chanter. For several years, she had made her home with her sister, Mrs. E. L. Wilkinson in Front Royal She is survived by two sisters. Mrs. E. L. Wilkinson. Front Royal and Mrs, Elizabeth Moss. Amissvile. and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Albert Gay, Earl Graves. Dalton Johnson, and Jimmy Monday.
