For the second time in less than six months a diplomat from the Indian Embassy, Washington, D. C. has been involved in a careless traffic accident in Rappahannock County. A. C. Sprinivasa Rao, Assistant to the Indian Ambassador, operating a 1963 Falcon heading west on Route 211, failed to negotiate the sharp turn as he entered the Town of Washington and crashed into a new 66 Ford on the Merrill Motor Company sales lot. The new Ford was knocked into another new car, also a 66 Ford, which in turn struck still another vehicle, a 65 Ford hardtop. There were no injuries in the accident and damage to the Merrill vehicles was estimated at $1500, $1000 and $75 respectively. Damage to the Rao vehicle was approximately $800. This collision occurred Saturday, October 30 at 10:40 a.m. Trooper J. B. Willis was the investigating officer. Rao was involved in a collision Sunday, June 6, at 10 a.m. near Ben Venue when he struck a 59 Oldsmobile owned and operated by W. C. Hall of Rose Hill, Washington, Va.
