OBITUARIES

George Daniel Deal

George Daniel Deal, age 78 years, retired farmer andorchardist, died.at his residence at Peola Mills, Rappahannock County, on Saturday, October 30 following an illness covering about 19 months. He was the son of the late Silas Deal and the late Catherine Berry Deal of Rappahannock County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha Peyton Deal, two daughters and six sons. A son, Hugh lost his life in an automobile accident about 3 years ago. The daughters are, Mrs. Henry Sisk and Mrs. Milton Sisk of Sperryville. The sons are Harry, Lester and Woodrow of Sperryville, Daniel and Andrew of Culpeper and George W. Deal of Berryville. Also 40 grandchildren and Id great grandchildren. A funeral service was held Monday, November 1 at the Geest Funeral Chapel with burial in the family section of [he Etlan cemetery, Madison County. Rev. William A. Harrison, pastor of F. T. Baptist Church of which Mr. Deal was a member officiated. The pallbearers were E. A. Cave, A. D. Kelly, Garfield Jenkins, Roy Sisk, Robert Jones, Rufus Carpenter, Lee rhornton and James Ashby.
