The average monthly income — after taxes--of a veterar who obtained a GI home loar has increased from $473 ir 1956 to $519 in 1964, a recent Veterans Administration survery reveals.

The veteran home buyer's average monthly housing expenses, including loan payments, taxes, utilities, etc., have increased during the same period from $107 to $151,

The average purchase price of a home bought under the GI program has increased from $8,679 in 1950 to slightly more than $16,000during 1964.

One of the main reasons for this jump is that veterans are buying bigger and better homes.
