Mrs. Charles W. King remains as a patient in the Winchester Memorial Hospital and she is reported to be improving most satisfactorily. Guests for the week-end of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall at Rose Hill were Mr. Henry Deel and Or. L. T. Callahan of Manor Club, 'Md. E. M. Richards was a weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waters in Arlington. He returned to his home Monday. ,

Among those attending the funeral service Friday for Mrs. Lewis L. Herndon in Madison were Mrs. Ashby Wayland, Mrs. C. E. Giles and Charlie Bruce. Dr. and Mrs. John Turner and son Leiws left Monday from Dulles Airport to return to Fairbanks, Alaska after spending a week at the home of Dr. Turner’s mother Mrs. L. J. Turner on Mt. Salem Avenue. Dr. and Mrs. Turner were honored with several supper parties during their week's stay. On Saturday evening Mrs. Turner entertained with dinner for her house guests. Those attending included Miss Carolyn Gates Turner, home from Richmond for the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. E. M, Jones, Miss Segar Jones, Ned Jones, Mrs. Mary Lea, Judge and Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mr. and Mrsr John Cargill, Mr. and Mrs. James Massie, and Dr. and Mrs. John Peyton Snead, IV. Miss Segar Jones of Chowan College, Murfreesboro, N.C. spent the week-end at her home Delamore. Mrs. Thomas Howie of Staun ton was the guest from Wednesday until Friday of Judge and T. C. Lea at Green Back Farm.
