Cert&lnly there would be some opposition to the release of students for a week or so, but we might succeed. This would not only help the apple growers but would help die students to develop a broad er outlook and sense of achieve ment. Would be interested to hear from anyone who believes this to be workable or unworkable '- and particularly those who would cooperate in the endeavor.

l Dear Editor: l For the first time in sev‘ eral months I was in the : Rappahannock Public Library :• last Saturday morning. I was ; amazed at the number of rer cent accessions of new popu; lar books as well as a wide variety of the “tried and true* classics. I was greatly impressed, also, by the neatness and orderliness of the attractive quarters. To think, only three years ago the county was Without a public library of any sort! Now it has a centrally-located library, open at convenient hours, ready to loan books to all and sundry, and to offer suggestions to persons whc may be undecided just what book they should read to provide -entertainment, inspiration or practical knowledge. It se^ms to be apropos tc quote here a passage from the chapter, “The Magic Key* in John D. Snider’s “I Love Books*:
