(let stand 5 minutes). 1 t. baking powder - 1/4 t. baking soda, and substitute at least 1/2 c. sour milk for sweet milk in recipe. To freeze a cherry pie use cornstarch or tapioca for thickening. Flour gets lumpy and turns gray in freezing. Teflon stains can be removed from baking pans with this solution: 2 T basking soda, 1/2 c. liquid household bleach, and 1 c. water. Misses Nellie and Lillie Johnson will be hostesses for the Woodville Home Demonstration Club on Tuesday, February 1 at 7:30 p.m. A program on packaging and labeling will be presented. The Amissville Home Demonstration Club will meet at Amissville Baptist Church on Monday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. The program will be on “Identifying Old Glassware". Mrs. Ray Cannon will be hostess for the Castleton Home Demonstration Club on Wednesday, February 9 at 2 p.m. Instructions in knitting will be continued. The Chester Gap Home Demonstration Club will meet Tuesday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chester Gap firehall. .The program will be on packaging and labeling.
