NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Sections 29-125 and 29126 ol the Code of Vire'nia. the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries, meeting at Richmond, v irginia, January 14, 1966, ordered the proposed change in its rules and will hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of adopting this proposed rule at Room 100, 7 North Second Street, Richmond, Virginia, 9:30 a.m. on February 19, 1966.

Amend Regulation 2 so ns to make it lawful to hunt bearded turkeys only, statewide, from April 23 to May 6, I960, dates inclusive, from one-half hour before sunrise to 10 o’clock n.m. (F.ustern Standard Time) except in the counties of Accomack, Buchanan, Dickenson, Gloucester, Isle of Wight, Lancaster, Lee, Mathews, Middlesex, Nansemond, Northampton, Northumberland, Richmond, Russell, Scott, Westmoreland and Wise; and in the cities of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach; and on Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area in Smyth and Tazewell counties and Hidden Valley Wildlife management Area in Washington county, which shall be closed to such hunting. Bearded turkeys shall be hunted by calling. It shall be unlawful to use dogs or organize drives for the purpose of hunting.
