Manager in Fairfax

The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company announced yesterday the appoint ment of Harry E. Lindsey to the position of Fairfax Area Manager. Announcing Mr. Lindsey’s new assignment, A. T. Reed, Culpeper Area Manager, stated that Lindsey will je responsible for furnishing approximately 30,000 Fairfax area residents with telephone service. Lindsey was employed by the company at Lynchburg in 1946 as a lineman. He has held various assignments with the company in Lynchburg and Culpeper. He held the position of Culpeper Area Manager from April 1957 until appointed District Commercial Supervisor - Culpeper in June 1965. Culpeperites will long remember Lindsey for his outstanding contributions in community affairs. While here he served as president of the Lions Club, Toastmasters Club, Chamber of Commerce and Culpeper Country Club. In his new assignment, Lindsey will be directly associated with William P. Green, formerly of Culpeper, who last year was promoted to the position of District Commercial Manager - Fairfax. Mr. Lindsey and his wife, the former Marguerite Fischer of Lynchburg, will take up residence in Fairfax in the near future.
