Shirley Brown of Bethesda^ Md. Phil Hawkins spent several days last week with his brother .in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Fred Codding in Alexandria and attended the Senators Twins baseball game. Mrs. "Doc* Miller has Joined her husband in Spartansburg, S. C. after visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Priest. The Sunday School of the Methodist Church enjoyed a picnic on Sunday at the Methodist Camp at Boston. The Rev. Edward Pruitt, pastor of the church, conducted services in the Chapel. Mrs. Gordon Payne of Madison visited her mother, Mrs. J. B. Johnson on Sunday, also her father, J. B. Johnson in the Luray Nursing Home. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Butler of Alexandria were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown. S. M/Sgt. and Mrs. A. Lee Swindler, children, Mike andj Barbara of Omaha, Nehr. ar-! rived last Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler, Sr. for a leave of 40 days. On Sunday they left for Richmond for a week’s visit with Mr. and Mrs. A1 Castaldi and family. Wednesday dinner guests of Miss Barbara Swindler were Dr. and Mrs. A. W. Kagey and children of Roanoke, S. M/Sgt. and Mrs. Lee Swindler and family of Omaha, Nebr. and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Swindler.
