Overnight guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Clark were Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Barry and four children of Knoxville, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howell and family at Madison Heights. Mr. and Mrs. Cary Harrison of Ft. Worth, Texas and Mrs. Elizabeth Walker of Front Royal were visitors last Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. J. p. Cook. A guest from Thursday until Tuesday of Mrs. Mary Cleverley was Miss Cecily M. O’Con nor, Field Director of Interna tional Red Cross. Miss O’Connor was enroute from duty at Letterman Army Hospital, The Presidio, San Fran cisco to a new assignment in Germany. Sunday guests of Mrs. Ida Trump were her brother-inlaw and sister Mr. and Mrs. George Candey of The Towers Washington, D.C. Louis Moore, Jr. of Ft. Belvoir and Jimmy Bowling of Washington, D.C. spent the week-end at the home of Mr. Moore’s parents. Bud Corder of Huntly is spending this week at the home of his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers. Other guests in the Nethers’ home are their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Pete Dennis and two children Debra and Bill of Jackson, S. C. who are spending a three weeks vacation. Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning were Bridge guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser in Washington. The W.S.C.S. met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Emory Russell. With the theme of Women of the Bible, Mrs. Paul Miller had a program on Miriam. Others pre9| ent were Mrs. Edward Pruitt,! Mrs. Ida Trump, Mrs. Bar-1 bara Gentry, Mrs. Lock Bur-! ford, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCulloch of Fairfax were weekend guests of Mrs. McCulloch’s parents ML. and Mrs. M. H. Brady. Their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Richard Brady of Arling ton were Sunday guests. Mrs. Joel Jenkins spent Friday and Saturday in Washington, D. C. with relatives. Tuesday Mrs. Jenkins and ,Mfs. Paul Miller accompanied by Mrs. Mary Chandler of Front Royal spent the day in Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood
of Sperryville were Bridge ! guests Tuesday evening of Mr. and Mfs. John S. Browning. Their guests on Wednesday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Keyser of Washington.
