Debbie Harrison and Linda Jackson returned to their home in Washington, D. C. Sund ay after spending two weeks with their grandmother Mrs. Fannie Jackson in Sperryville.
Soc. Security Notes
Even without considering the Medicare provisions, the 1965 Amendments make sweeping changes in social security's old-age, disability, and survivors insurance programs. They include; An increase in monthly bene fits by 7 percent . . . retroactive to January 1965. Those of you who were receiving bene fits at the time of the changes received an automatic increase; those of you who filed since that time had this increase included in your original benefit; and those of you who qualify at a later date will also benefit by the same amount. The maximum yearly earnings which can count for social security was raised from $4800 to $6600 starting with this year. The increased wage base will result in even further increases to your social
