Atmel, Mrs. Frances Tyner and Harold Brown Estes left last Wednesday night for Ft. Riley, Kan sas where they will visit Mrs. Armel’s son-in-law and daugh ter Sgt. and Mrs. George Terry and family. Mrs. Sadie Foster has returned from Winchester Memorial Hospital where she was a recent surgical patient. Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clatterbuck were Mr. and Mrs. Andr ew Moore and daughter of Manassas Park. Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Carrigan at Avon Hall were Admiral and Mrs. Wm. Callaghan of Chevy Chase, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Sholl of Bethesda and Msgr. Edward H. Roach, Pastor of Blessed Sacrament Church Chevy Chase. Mrs. Roy Clatterbuck has returned home after being a surgical patient in Warren Memorial Hospital. Mrs. C. W. Campbell, Mrs. C. G. Reid, and Mrs. L. J. Turner accompanied Miss Mary Miller Wood to Luray last Tuesday where they visited Mrs. J. S. Bradley and Mrs. John Wood in the Luray Hospital and Mrs. Virgie Chap man at her home. Mrs. Robert Caldwell of Pensacola, Fla. was the guest from Wednesday until Friday of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell at Twinland. Mrs. Campbell entertained for her at luncheon on Thursday. Her guests were Mrs. C. J. Miller, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett and Mrs. W. M. Fletcher. Mrs. Preston Avery was a luncheon guest Friday of Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Caldwell returned to Winchester with her. Mr. and Mrsv C* B. Palmer were in ^LawrenceviHe la^g Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Palmer's godchild Mrs. Betty Harrison Magette who was killed in an auto mobile accident. David Palmer of V.P.I. spent the weekend at his home. Mrs. Warren Settle and three children Gary, Sandra and Andy of Amissville were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oljie Fincham.
