Water Situation
In Washington
Due to a continued water shortage throughout this year we have been relying on water from the well rather than from the springs. This means that the pump has been in continuous operation. In former years it has had to have major repairs after such sustained usage. We have been considering an auxiliary but have run into problems of cost. There are no indications that our supply of water is low but our pump has become overtaxed. Therefore if the water subscribers would voluntarily limit their use we would have a better chance of a continued supply of water during this drought.

Hunting and fishing license agencies and sporting goods dealers throughout most of Virginia have been supplied with the new 24 page “Summary of Virginia Game Laws" the Game Commission’s Information Office reports. The free publication gives all necessary information on Vir ginia big and small game seasons, license requirements, weapons restrictions and lega hunting procedures. General maps are included to clarify some of the more complicated seasons and bag limits. Special regulations and restrictions on National Forests Commission lands and State Forests open to public hunting are given in detail in the hunting law folder.
