through Custer Park where we saw mules and buffalo. The mules were so friendly they stuck their treads through the car windows looking for something to eat. Leaving Custer Park, we entered Wyoming and stayed in Buffalo Bill’s home town, Cody. Here we went to a rodeo. The next day we went to Yellowstone National Park and were just in time to see Old Faithful geyser erupt. In the park we saw one deer and eleven bears. Leaving Yellowstone, we went through six miles of Montana and on to Idaho, the big potato state. Here we sperlt the night at Twin Falls. On July 23 we continued through Idaho to Bend, Oregon for the night. Through these states the drive was long and hot and sometimes for miles on either side all we could see was sagebrush.
