The emblem is a fluorescent _. yellow-orange colored triangle with a dark red reflective border about 14 inches high and 16 inches wide that is placed on the rear of a slow-moving vehicle so it can be easily seen by other drivers, day or night, from a distance of 500 feet or more. It is not intended to replace other caution or warning devices such as flags, reflectors or lights.
The emblem was developed by Ohio State University research specialists in an attempt to reduce the number of rearend collisions involving slowmoving vehicles designed to travel at speeds oHess than 25 miles per hour.
