my horse and got something to eat myself; then I went to our field hospital to look for a wounded friend, the Rev. Mr. Harris of Upperville. I searched for him a long time but did not find him. I then went after the boys and horses and when I got back the sun was up; so all the sleep I got that night was while I was riding along the road. We were not in any engagement Saturday or Sunday, but marched nearly all night Sunday night.

Mrs. Turner and Miss Carolyn Gates Turner left Sunday for Richmond. On Monday accompanied by Mrs. Sarah i Walters, they went to Atlanta, I Ga. to visit Mrs. Frank Umstot who is a surgical patient in a hospital there. Mrs. Elmo F. Flynt has returned from a visit of several weeks with her mother Mrs. Alice Bond in Denton, Texas. Miss June King of Lynchburg is the guest this week of her aunt Mrs. T. C. Lea. Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Fincham were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Racer in Oxon Hill, Md.
