Gov. Godwin Calls
Education Conference
Governor Godwin is asking local officials, school board members and other leaders to participate in the Governor’s Conference on Education he has called for Wednesday, October 5, at the Mosque in Richmond. Key people from across the State are being notified of the Conference plans in a letter being mailed by the Governor’s office tomorrow. Formal invitations will be Issued later this month. The one-day session, to be attended by legislators, county and city officials, businessmen, educators and interested citizens, will highlight Virginia’s present stance in education and delve into needs over the next decade in the entire spectrum of education, according to Governor Godwin.
