present pastor, the Rev!, Ralph Rasberry, came In January, 1965. He Is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina and a graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and Mrs. Rasberry and their two daughters and one son are living in the community.

Carnival Opens Wed.
Each evening Amissville firemen can be seen busily bustling around the carnival grounds there, preparing for the annual fund raising carnival which will open August 10 and continue through Saturday evening, August 13. Fireworks will be a feature of the Wednesday night open|ing and on Thursday the big parade will attract visitors and participants from a large area. Entries include the usual beauty queens, majorettes, floats, comics, and rescue equipment and many more. A queen will receive her crown Friday night at a coronation ceremony. She will be one of four candidates competing for the title.
