At the station they especially Inquired about fruit we brought in, (plums, nectarines and one rotten orange). We-got our first view of the Pacific Ocean at Crescent City California. Along the beach we saw driftwood and decided to collect some. On to Eureka where we spent the night and the weather was so cold we had to turn the heat on. Monday we traveled down the Redwood Highway and went into a tree house which was 4,000 years old and was 250 fetet tall. We arrived in Yuba City Monday afternoon at the home of our relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Foster. After a delicious home cooked dinner they showed us slides of their recent trip to the East coast. Other relatives, Mr. and Mrs J. W. Anderson, also arrived to welcome us to the coast, and Mom, Dad and I went to spend the night with them. They have all been showing us the sights in California including a jim-dandy fair. Smokey Says: ---1
