At Carlsbad Caverns, he faced the challenge of consolidating land holdings, highly Important water rights litigations, and the need for develop ment of vistfbr facilities. He also completely revised and re-oriented cave trips, negotiated a revised and improved concessions service contract, and coordinated development of one of the largest visitor centers in the National' Park Service. His present assignment as Superintendent of Shenandoah National Park, involves management of an area within easy access to the Nation’s Capful and other^arge urban population centers. Mr. Hoskins had done an outsunding job in implementing development programs within the Park and his public relations skill in this highly cirtical visitor interest area has been] notable.
