In these years and days of a rapidly changing world, it is unusual to find someone who was born, reared, married and living in the same house for 85 years. Mrs. Ada Racer Huff of Washington, Va. celebrated her 85th birthday Saturday with a gathering of family and close friends at her home Mt. Pleasant in Gid Brown Hollow. The small cottage, originally a log cabin, now weatherboarded, nestles against the Blue Ridge, close to the Park line. It has been in the family for more than 200 years and here Mrs. Huff was born and has spent her entire life. Her parents were Melville Estes Racer and James Racer. She is one of the oldest members of Oakley Baptist Church in the Hollow, now closed, which she joined in 1906. She was married at the homestead to Henry Huff. They had no children, but reared a foster daughter, a greatniece, Mrs. Esther Racer Leonard who lives in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Huff has always had an
