Mrs. Bowie, a native of Rappahannock and at one time associated with Rappahannock News, is presently a member of the Culpeper Town Council. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Women included in this publication are chosen for their outstanding contributions and accomplishments in civic endeavors, religious,
political and professional actjh vities. Lbcal women’s clubs throughout the country submit nominations fof the book each year and a Board of Advisory Editors selects those who it thinks most exemplify the term outstanding. A different group of women is included each year.
