avid interest in politics and this fall is the first time she has failed to vote in an election. She sustained a broken hip some time ago and her health did not permit her going out. Among her old favorites, she says, is Burr F. Harrison who was the Seventh District Congressman for many years. She treasures a picture taken with him on the courthouse lawn before his retirement. Mrs. Huff retained the house and five acres of land when she recently sold the farm acreage to Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Poliak. Mr. Poliak has just been named as Assistant Attorney General with the U. S. Department of Justice. More than fifty people attended the open house Saturday, bringing best wishes and gifts and enjoying the birthday cake served with punch. Movie films taken at Mt. Pleasant about 25 years ago were shown by Lt. Col. Richard Grant who spent most of his childhood summer vacations there. He also presented Mrs. Huff with an oil painting he had done of Oakley Church. Mrs. Huff expressed appreciation for the lovely gifts.
