The 16-county Northern Piedmont District has been allotted 4 million seedlings for sale to its landowners. District Forester D. G. Wilfong, Jr., says that enough cutover woodland sites were prepared last summer by prescribed burning and bulldozing to take two-thirds of the allotted trees. All of the trees are sold on a first-come, first served basis; therefore seriously interested landowners should order their trees early. Delivery will be made whenever the landowner requests up to April 15. Trees can be ordered through the Chief Forest Warden of each county, through any Virginia Division of Forestry forester, or an order blank can be had by writing the Virginia Division of Forestry office in Charlottesville.
