and stereo was taken from the home of George Grimsley near Flint Hill. At Huntly a water pump and copper pipe was missing at the construction site where Dr. Werner Kebser is building. The copper pipe was taken from the well drilling operation of Hugo Stribling there.
Apparently a person or persons canvassed the secondary roads where houses are not close to each other and when finding no one home helped themselves to worthwhile small items, easy to transport. The thefts were not discovered in most cases until

A special meeting of the Town Council of Washington will be held Tuesday, August 27 at 8 p.m. in the Court House. The proposed Budget for 1968-69 will be reviewed. This is an open meeting for all citizens of the Town of Washington.
