Miss Becky Jones is spending a vacation from the Lynchburg School System with her parents Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones at Delamore. Taylor Stevens of Surry was a Sunday guest of Miss Segar Jones at the home of her parents. The Jones family and Mr. Stevens were Sunday night dinner guests at Graves Mountain Lodge at Syria.
Mr. and Mrs. William A. Buntin and Miss Nancy Buntin returned Monday night after visiting Mrs. Buntin’s mother Mrs. O. G. Guenter in West Hartford, Conn, and two weeks spent at Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Sheppard were in Charlottesville last Wednesday where Mrs. Sheppard underwent mouth surgery at the University of Virginia Hospital.
Judge and Mrs. Rayner V. Snead, Bill and Mary Lib Snead returned home Saturday night from Reno, Nevada where Judge Snead attended a National College for Trial Judges for a month. Traveling the southern route they visited many points of interest, and at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi visited their son, Sam Snead. Before going to Nevada, Mrs. Snead and two children visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Doran at Kansas City, Mo. and were joined there by Judge Snead.
Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Scoggin and son Bill, formerly of Alexandria, are occupying the Douglas Smith house on the Fodder Stack Road.
