William Ambler Moore
William Ambler Moore, 84, a retired fanner of Flint Hill died August 11, 1968 in Warren Memorial Hospital. He was bom in Rappahannock County, son of the late John R. and Lizzie Green Moore. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held Tuesday, August 13 at 2 p.m. at the Rock Hill Farm Cemetery, Flint Hill with the Rev. C. Edward Pruitt officiating.
Pallbearers were Herbert Foster, Haywood Griffith, B. J. Wood, Dabney Eastham, Thomas Lee and Wm. G. Eastham.
Maddox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Bradley H. Patterson
Mr. Bradley H. Patterson, Sr., a former Washington resident who made his home for the past twelve years in Woodville, Va. passed away August 12, 1968 in the Manassas Nursing Home from the effects of a stroke suffered on Memorial Day. He was 77.
Mr. Patterson was born in Chicago of New England ancestry and grew up in Springfield, Mass. He served in the U. S. Navy in the Azores during World War I and thereafter pursued a career of investment counselling in Boston and Wellesley, Mass.
In 1942 he came to Washington as an official of the Office of Price Administration.
Mr. Patterson served as a Legislative Assistant to three U. S. Senators John Sherman Cooper of Kentucky, John Foster Dulles of New York and Charles Potter of Michigan; he also was employed in the Department of Commerce. He retired in 1954.
Mr. Patterson was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and served on the Vestry.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. V
