The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary is requesting contributions of fried chicken, deviled eggs, and potato salad for box suppers to be sold Thursday night, August 22 following the parade. Also wanted are pies and cakes any and all four nights of the carnival from Wednesday until Thursday of next week. Donations of needle work, odds and ends or other saleable items for the carnival white elephant stand are also wanted. If you have a white elephant you may contact Mrs. Ralph Rowzie, 937-3782 or Mrs. Charlie Priest, 937-2498.
According to Mrs. Russell Hackley, auxiliary president, there will not be an August meeting of the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary, since all carnival plans were taken care of at the July session. The next regular meeting ,will be in September.
