Storm Damage Extensive In Flint Hill
Nine head of livestock were killed and a house partially destroyed by fire near Flint Hill during a severe storm last Wednesday evening.
Seven heifers and two horses, [owned by T. L. Eastham, were killed by lightning. Apparently two different bolts killed the animals since they were in separate groups in the same field.
A house owned by Mr. and Mrs. William LaBille (the Tucker Cooksey place) received extensive damage when lightning struck a tree nearby, followed a root to the house and knocked out pact of a foundation, before igniting the frame structure. The Flint Hill Fire Company responded and l the flames were brought under I control.
