Everywhere that Christianity has penetrated, schools and hospitals have followed. Poverty and misery have been alleviated, and life generally has become more productive.
There is a great tendency in our land today to forsake the God of our fathers and to trust in our own accomplishments. To the extent we persist in this course, to that extent will our national problems increase. To the extent that we teach our people that they are the product of the survival of the fittest in a world of chance, rather than a product of the creative and of Almighty God, to that extent will they go astray.
Jesus said, “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” (John 15:6)
