At 10:30 the same evening on Route 211 two miles east of Sperryville a bus and a car sideswiped on the bridge at Rediviva. A 69 school bus owned by Frederick County Public Schools of Frederick, Md. and driven by Robert Cecil Allison Jr. of Conway, Ark. apd John T. Keys of Boston operating a 57 Buick were involved. No charges were made, said Trooper Willis who investigated.
August 31st on Route 231 more than six miles south of Sperryville a car struck a cow in the early Sunday morning fog. Laura S. Johnson of Charlottesville driving a 69 Pontiac struck and killed a cow owned by J. W. Fletcher.
A collision early Labor Day morning resulted ip injury for Five persons. This crash, a rear end collision, occurred in front of Pine Xnot Inn on Route 211 about 4:10 a.m. Dale Franklin Green of Luray operating a 64 Ford convertible owned by Boyd Wendell Green of Luray was struck in the back by a 65 Mustang operated by John Samuel Hackley of Culpeper. Hackley was charged with following too closely when he struck the Green vehicle which had slowed for traffic ahead.
