A couple of weeks ago a friend was walking in my garden with me He examined my tomato vines and made the prediction that I would get no good tomatoes, the vines were growing too rapidly. Now, 1 hate for my friends to be mistaken, but, I sure do enjoy those luscious ripe tomatoes that I'm blessed with today.
Before I retired some of my colleagues would gather around me $nd sing; “When the roll is called up yonder Si’ll be there.” Out of the corner of my eyes I could see them pointing downward. I would rear back and tell them: “Friends, my ticket says I’m headed upward.” Invariably, someone would say; (most of the time it was Pete), “Captain, you had better get a refund, you'll never make it.” It was all friendly banter, and as much as I appreciated their love .and loyalty, I was hoping they | were wrong.
Whittier says in his Fternal Goodness;
