Hackley, 22, who had a shoulder injury and a lacerated tongue; Hazel Lee Norman of Culpeper sustained lacerations of the head and face; Grace Arlene Newman, 14, had a lacerated tongue; Helen Marie Newman, 17, sustained lacerations of the face and chin; and Ivan Bernard Young received lacerations of the head, an ankle and knee injury. Trooper Willis investigated all of these crashes.
Two vehicles were involved in a collision Tuesday night about 9:30 p.m. on Route 211 in front of Hampton Inn. Edwin M. Belt of Middleburg operating a 1963 Chevrolet station wagon made a left turn into a driveway in front of an oncoming car. Operator of this vehicle, a 1967 Mustang, was William McKinley Fletcher of Washington, Va. Fletcher sustained lacerations of the knee, head and lip and lost a tooth. The Mustang was a total loss.
Belt was charged with reckless driving. His station wagon was also a total loss.
