Mrs. Ida Walters Mills
Mrs. Ida Walters Mills, 61, of Front Royal died August 19, 1909 at her residence. She was a native of Rileyville, the daughter of Realous A. and Ella Deavers Walters.
A funeral service was held August 23 at the Willis Chapel Methodist Church, Huntly with the Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two foster children, Jessie Lynwood Cameron of Front Royal and Alma P. Thomas, Roanoke; two sisters, Violet V. Williams and Mathie M. Cameron, both Front Royal; a brother, Roland Walters, Front Royal; and a grandson, David Wilson Walters in Viet Nam.
Mrs. Mary L. James
Mrs. Mary Lawrence James of Warrenton died August 26, 1969 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was 86, the widow of Calvin S. James. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ralph D. Appleton of Warrenton with whom she made her home; a brother, John R. Lawrence of Amissville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held the 28th from the Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton and interment was in the Amissville Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. L. T. Saunders, Jr. officiated.
