"But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like- a tree planted by the rivers of water; that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” (Psalm 1:2,3)

This is a description of the righteous man. Note that he delights in the word of God. He also takes time for the word - he meditates in it continually. The results are happiness and firuitfulne&6. He not only has the leaf of profession, but he has the fruit of possession. His spiritual roots are deep in the Scriptures and his vineyard well watered by the fountains of grace. No wonder his undertakings are prosperous in the eyes of the Lord.
