The Rubella Immunization Clinic will be held in the Rappahannock Elementary School on Monday, April 27, 1970. This vaccine is available to all children from 5 years of age through third grade. Parents with children in this age group who are not in school and wish to receive the vaccine are requested to have them at the Elementary School no later than 1 p.m. on the 27th. It is necessary for the parent to give written consent and the form will be available at the school on that day. German measles (Rubella) vaccine should be given at least one month before or after other live virus immunizations so a child will not be eligible if he has had smallpox vaccination, polio or Rubeola (red measles) immunizations during the past month. Parents, please take notice that this is NOT the red measles vaccine. This Rubella vaccine has never been available here before.
