At 3 a.m. on April 18 a single-vehicle crash occurred on Route 662 near Huntly. James William Jordan of Huntly operating a 68 Dodge lost control of the car on the gravel road and struck a bank. Damage was set at $300 and Jordan was charged with reckless driving by Trooper W. A. Buntin.
Three vehicles were involved in a collision at 2:15 a.m. less than a mile east of Washington, Va. on Route 211. A 1963 Ford operated by Gloria Ann Brent of Washington, D.C. and a 1966 Ford operated by Coles Edward Kenney of Warrenton were traveling east. They were struck by a 64 Olds operated by James Robert Jackson of Woodville who was heading west. Jackson crossed the center of the highway and hit the oncoming cars. He was charged with reckless driving according to Trooper J. B. Willis.
At 1 a.m. Wednesday morning on Route 522 a mile south of Huntly, Charles Edward Corder, Jr. struck a cow owned by J.A.B. ; Dahlgren. The damage was 1 estimated at $700 by Troopei 1 Willis who investigated.
