Mildew Removal Many regulations regarding the use of certain chemicals for home use have been changed. Therefore, the Extension Publication MI 42, “Removing Mildew Stains From Walls”, has been discontinued. For the present, this recommendation will suffice in the removal of mildew from wall surfaces. 1) Get rid of any damp soil and/or any heavy vegetation which may be keeping walls damp and may be encouraging mildew. 2) Scrub surface with this solution then rinse with clean water. Let surface become completely dry before applying new paint. [5 gal. water, 3 oz. trisodium phosphate cleaner, and '4 pt. household ammonia] 3) Check with any reputable paint dealer for commercial products containing mildew retardants.

A new regulation would allow fishermen on the Rapidan and Staunton rivers in the Fish-for-Fun area to fish year around.
All of these regulations are now in the proposed stage. They will be either passed or rejected at a meeting in Richmond on Friday, May 1, 1970.
