Traffic Crashes

John Francis Durham of Castleton struck^and killed a deer February 13 a mile east of Sperryville. Damage to his 1971 M. G. was estimated at $100 and replacement value of a deer is set at $100 also.
On the 14th of February at 3 a.m. two miles north of Huntly on Route 522 William G. Eastham of Amissville escaped injury when he struck a parked vehicle. Eastham was operating a 71 Ford when he skidded and hit a 65 Ford owned by Amos Ritter of Huntly which was parked about 10 feet off the left of the1 highway. He was charged with reckless driving. Damage to the Eastham vehicle was estimated at two thousand dollars and at one thousand to the Ritter vehicle.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision Sunday just after noon on Route 522 a mile north of Huntly. Earl Samuel Wharton of Sperryville operating a 70 Mercury slowed for traffic and was struck in the rear by a 62 Chevrolet taxi operated by William Burton Bowers of Front Royal.
