Bake Sale Feb. 20 at Sperryville Store
A Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, February 20 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Corner Store in Sperryville. Proceeds will benefit the Sperryville United Methodist Church.
Adult Education
Classes Continue
The Adult Education Classe; continue to be held each Thursday night at the local high school, however, on several occasions bad weather has prevented this activity. For the next four sessions the classes will cover three hours each to make up the time lost because of the weather. The finals exercise is still scheduled for Thursday, March 18 as planned.
When the regular high school classes are suspended* on Thursday because of the weather, the adult education classes will also be suspended that night. Seventy-eight people enrolled in the courses and the average attendance is sixty-six.
Rappk Crafts Group
Sets Meeting on 23
The Rappahannock Arts and Crafts Group will meet at the Terhune home near Amissville on Tuesday, February 23 at 10 a.m. Two representatives of the power company will be present to assist with advice on the wiring of antique lamps. They will show slides on the use of proper shades and bulbs and the decorating possibilities of lamps in general.
Ideas on the making of lamp shades will be welcomed and anyone interested is invited to join the group.
