I read an article in a magazine the other day. (correction: I started to read it and it was misplaced, the magazine) As I recall it, the caption read; YOUR GOD IS TOO WHITE. Now who could have written such an article? I suppose it was some nonwhite who thought the white establishment had given him a rough time, thereby alienating him from the white man’s God.
Some time ago I read the opinion of a member of an ethnic group who postulated this thought ‘Christ was a black man,’ based on the Revelation of John where it states: “His hair was as wool, white as snow.” This writer says that no white man’s hair is like wool. Good logic? Now, let’s see; Christ was probably a brown man, an Arab. He was supposed to be an Aryan, according to tradition, a decen dant of the Atlanteans. What did his color matter, He was a Son of God. Is there any law that says a black man cannot become a Son of God? I don’t know of any. According to Holy Writ, arrogance could be a deterrent. White is a symbol of purity. But, what color is God? What color is love, the power that maintains order throughout the whole galaxy? Christ said that God is Spirit, does spirit have a color? He also said that we must worship him in spirit, the spirit of humility. Whatever color you want your God to be, worship Him in that color, but worship him.
