LTC. John C. Adams was recently presented the Meritorious Service Medal for his performance of exceptionally meritorious service during the period 22 June 1968 to 20 December 1970 while serving as Chief of the Hospital Dental Clinic and Chief of Oral Surgery, U.SArmy Medical Center, Ryukyu Islands (Okinawa). The award was presented by the commander of Walson Army Hospital, Fort Dix, New Jersey. LTC. Adams is presently Chief, Department of Dentistry and Chief of Oral Surgery at Walson Army Hospital as well as Director of the Education Committee for Residency Training in the Dental Activity at Fort Dix.

He is a native of Washington, Virginia and the son of Mrs. Matilda Walker of Washington who is a former teacher of Rappahannock County.
