Mr. and Mrs. John Early of Amissville returned to their home Sunday after an eight-day trip abroad. The Earlys who own and operate Early’s Carpet Service, were awarded the trip for outstanding carpet sales. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Russell Shaw who are proprietors of a carpet firm in Woodbridge. Shoot Through Windows
Bel Air Restaurant at Amissville was the target of rifle fire by unidentified vandals Monday night. Approximately ten shots from a rifle were fired through a plate glass window scarring walls and furnishings, according to Sheriff Charles K. Estes. The shooting, which occurred about ten thirty, is still under investigation. Shots were also heard in the center of the village of Amissville, though no damage has been detected there.
