Barksdale Continues
Flint Hill VFD Head
H. S. Barksdale was re-elected president of the Flint Hill Fire Departnjent for the seventeenth consecutive time at the March meeting of this group. Mr. Barksdale has served in this capacity since the organization of the fire company in 1954. Named to the vice presidency was Herbert Foster while Maurice Walker was elected secretary and Emory Russell installed as treasurer. Douglas Bywaters was elected fire chief with first through fourth assistants as follows: Paul Miller, Bud Corder, Pat Biggs and Elwood Welch.
Frank Huff heads the ambulance service and chaplain for the group is Jerry Campbell, a Methodist minister. Directors, in addition to officers, are: Joel Jenkins and Charles Foster. M. R. Bradford (Boo) was voted an honorary lifetime membership for his many years of outstanding and faithful service.
