Mr. Wood is relinquishing his post on the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors for reasons of health and age. Mr. Wood is 76 and has served the county since 1948 representing Stonewall District which includes the Woodville and Castleton areas. With the redistricting of Rappahannock for elections, Stonewall and Hawthorne districts will be combined to make one district thereby eliminating one supervisor.
