Mrs. Eleanor Cordle shows where the can of peanuts was setting on top of her refrigerator Sunday night when a black bear invaded her home searching for food. Bruin was trying to get the peanuts open after already eating a can of bacon drippings when Mrs. Cordle discovered his presence. The bear retreated to the woods but was not satisfied for he reappeared at the T. J. Pillar home a short distance away. The creature ransacked trash cans and tore the screen from the front porch at the Pillar property.
